LEO Lingo: Breakfast is Served!

The Patio is hot, hot, hot this morning! I quickly watered the blooms, cleaned out the bird bath and piled up tree branches I’d trimmed off a few days ago. As I finished my chores a lone dove perched on the fence post “Who Whooing” had me wondering where her mate was. Perhaps she was waiting for her Hubs to come home from work. If she (let’s call her Dorey and him Dean Dove) like me, is married to a Police Detective then it’s probable that Dean was called out on a case in the middle of the night and hasn’t made it home yet.  Or he could be that 3rd shift Patrolman. So if she slept at all, she is just up early gathering breakfast for when he comes home.

Maybe, before Dorey drifted off she meditated on Phillipians 4:6,7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

If she did read this and asked God to cover her man in safety as he worked, she drifted off into a peaceful sleep and woke up ready to serve Dean a good meal. Okay let’s get more real, she just left him an Xoxoxo note by his Poptart before she herself got the kids to school and headed off to work.

What Do You Meditate On When Your LEO Is Out On His Beat?
