When Your Merry, Becomes Muddled

THE DAY, is truly fast approaching and I’ve found myself on the edge of an emotional episode involving food and gift preparations and yes last minute “add on’s”, forgotten “to do’s”, unexpected family issues, red in my checking balance, a mystery ailment leaving my feet and hands swollen and a broken heart over our military families who have lost their loved ones in this fight on terror. Doesn’t sound very MERRY does it…but can you relate?!

I seriously saw and snapped a photo of this Santa, sitting outside a business and he looked like how I felt. Laughingly, I said “Merry Christmas Santa” but quickly realized how many of us seem to MUDDLE through our MERRY little CHRISTMAS.

I am going to take a meaningful break and change my focus from everything that is going on around me and inside of me, reflecting on….my choice to be muddled or merry. As a believer in Christ I am filled with joy, thanksgiving, a heart of service, with a huge portion of peace and love. It’s time I started choosing to live it and let the world see it!………I hope you’ll join me!

“Father you gave us all the perfect gifts of love, joy, peace, salvation, healing, mercy, forgiveness, sacrifice and servant hood all rolled up in a tiny little blanket….may we never choose to muddle through somehow, but may we trust in you and merrily live as children of the King! In Jesus precious name Amen.”
I hope you have a Merry little Christmas! God bless you and your family.
Warmly,
Julie
