Prayin For My Peeps

Rising this morning I take a peek outside, finding everything wet. Leaving the window blinds open I decide to enjoy God’s handiwork from indoors. The Patio is not covered, and I left the cushions out so they are soaked. I’m not complaining, I’m thanking God for the rain, as it is much needed.

Resting on the thought of thankfulness, my heart spills over. I personally have so much in my life that I am thankful for, but especially people. This morning I read Philemon 1:4-7 and I agree with Paul as he expresses his thankfulness and love for his fellow believers. I too have a core group of fellow believers (my peeps)  that surround me in prayer and uplift me with encouraging instruction. This past weekend one of my “peeps” even blessed me with a comfortable place to lay my head, and chauffeur services. We playfully quoted she was “driving Miss Daisy”.

As you rise this morning bring with you an attitude of thankfulness, call by name in prayer those “peeps” you are thankful for. Open your eyes and see God’s handiwork in their lives as well as yours.
