I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

While the tune plays in my head, I start to sing the words.
I am reminded by it’s poetry and rhyming of the days of my youth. Days when straying from my parental planned path was fairly easier when joined by friends. In the dance called growing up I sometimes took the lead, but rarely danced alone.

Reflecting on those days gone by, and recalling the moves we made, I am reminded they weren’t always harmonious. Still the fact remains, that I would never have made it this far without my friends.

I’d like to say that all my dancing these days require harp and lyre, but this would be slightly off key. One thing rings true, I do “get by with a little help from my friends.”
