I Could Eat

Before the birds sing, and the sun comes up I wake thinking about food. My mind hits the preparation mode and I start on breakfast, then fix things for lunch and supper. All day long I crave Cheetos and a coke, pizza and a coke, candy, popcorn, chex mix all the while I’m eating broccoli, carrots, celery, radishes and tuna fish. I’m tired of eating healthy food. And I’m also tired, and need energy so I take a handful of herbs, minerals and vitamins along with some magic hormonal cream for my low T. Ha! even women get the low T. Women I’m a walking vision of loveliness with all my potions, powders and icy-hot! And did I mention, I’m hungry?!

This morning as I pry myself out of bed, douse my eyes with drops, splash water in my face and long to lay back down. My tummy is growling. As I decided on what to eat, I sit’n’sip open my bible and read a little food for thought. Proverbs 26:15  “The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; it wears him out to bring it back to his mouth.” I wonder…is this poor fella needing some meat on his bones, cuz I could sure help him out there. Shoot, I’ve never been too tired to eat! I could eat! I can eat! I do eat!

Speaking of eating join me today as we eat and remember EAT to LIVE, Don’t LIVE to EAT!!

“Father, you have created an abundance of food for us that will give us energy, strength and health. Help us crave this food and use our time and energy wisely. In Jesus name Amen.”
