My Cup is Disgustingly Full !

Somebody turn on the lights! I stumbled through the dark house this morning, trying not to wake Hubs and tripped over his combat boots in the middle of the living room floor. Did I mention I was carrying a cup of coffee!! Why, I didn’t turn on a light to show the way to the art room is beyond me. I also don’t know why I let a TT (tantrum tootsie) word fly, I didn’t even spill my coffee, but it flew out as my toe was assaulted. Note to the masses, recovering anger addicts on a diet, should not have boots in the middle of their floors.
As optimistic folk talk about viewing life in a positive manner, their cup is half full instead of half empty. Well, my cup is still disgustingly full. My cup is not half full, it is full of my wonderful Kahlua coffee and my new weight management sugar free, fat free vanilla cream, and a touch of almond breeze milk/half n half substitute. Yuck, need I type more. There is NO creativeness flowing from my cup today!

I haven’t been myself this past two weeks. I didn’t realize it until last night when a good friend of mine said “you’re cranky, probably sugar withdrawals.” This ain’t my first weight loss rodeo, but the sugar withdrawals kinda snuck up on me. It didn’t even dawn on me, when I was driving Hubs home earlier yesterday from his weekend military drill as I slammed on my breaks on the interstate. I wish I could of captured his facial expression on camera, as he said “Woman! what are you doing!?” I was just letting the bumper riding motorist behind me know, he’d better back off. I think poor Hubs is still in shock, and possibly feels his road rage behavior is rubbing off on me. (read my other post Road Rage) He might be thinking his woman needs more Jesus in her cup!

How did your Monday start? Is your cup half full or half empty?

Join me and let’s put the real sugar, Jesus in our cup’s!

Lord, we need more of you and less of the unhealthy things in life. Give us courage and desire to make healthy choices. Help us to see that our cup is half full not half empty, no matter what is going on in our lives. Forgive us for our slip ups. In Jesus name Amen.
