I’ll Just Delete You

Not long after the sun come up, I dressed to go play tennis. Over the three day weekend I enjoyed the company of a new friend, wonderful morning breezes and realized my old body doesn’t move like it used to.

During a break we talked about friendship. My mate mentioned she had at one time experienced a strained friendship due to the other person lying. They overcome this hard hurtful period by talking it out which brought out a confession and forgiveness. Their friendship had staying power.

As we played I thought of other friendships that ended after hurtful things were said and done. They didn’t have staying power, and they ended with one friend deleting the other from FB. Which is mostly understandable that if you are done sharing your life with someone, you don’t want them reading or seeing what is going on in your life.

Friendships are like tennis, I took a hit but stayed in the game. It hurt like hell, but I finished.

Has your friendship taken a hit? Have you deleted someone, or do you have staying power?
Join me today as we share our experiences.

  1. Iron sharpens Iron so the Word of God says and I know friends are the glue that helps me be sharpened and changed into the likeness of God.
