Help is On The Way Dear!

Looking out my window above the kitchen sink there is a strategically placed bird feeder. It is full, ready and open for business! When these little backyard diner’s, drive-ins and dives go empty in the dead of winter I hope these tweets don’t lose hope. It’s not long before I go running outside to fill them. Me, going anywhere in a hurry is more like Mrs. Doubtfire than Guy Fieri. Especially, in the restaurant scene where Mrs. Doubtfire realizes that Stu is choking. Stu and the family panic and start to lose hope, fearing all is lost, when Mrs. D hurriedly jumps over chairs yelling “Help is on the way dear!!”.

It’s easy to look around in the dead of winter and feel that all is lost. The trees are bare, the flowers and grass withered and look brownish blah. When our weather is very unpredictable we tend to lose a little hope that Spring will never come.
I want to encourage you to look more closely, all is not lost. In nature when the frost comes it gives, the dead buds and branches little crowns of glory. Kim Loftis Golden Winter Branches  kim Loftis red bird frozen branches

When the sun shines it illuminates off of the water bringing warmth to our weary eyes. When Autumn begins and ends it brings such vibrant color that photographers and painters become alive with creative energy. Kim Loftis icicles Kim Loftis huge fall tree Kim Loftis Red leaves Frost
It’s just as easy to look around at your current situation and feel that all is lost. Even in our hardest struggle, when we look there is someone extending a helping hand, or another choice to be made that will better the situation. When there is death of a season, relationship, there is beauty in the journey, and hope in the new beginning.

A sweet friend called me as I was writing this post. There has been a change at her husband’s work, which created an unaffordable increase in their premium. They are not in a position to pay a much higher premium, and my friend was very down about her other coverage options. Plus the change comes demanding a quick response time, thus producing within her panic and irritation. After we talked and hung up, I returned to my writing and realized she needed a reminder, so I text her “Don’t lose hope, all is not lost.” I could have called her back and in my British accent said “help is on the way dear!” she already knows I’m crazy!

Are you experiencing a difficult situation? Do you feel that all is lost? Are you ready for Spring!? Kim Loftis spring flower

Join me…as we make the choice to look more closely, and believe that all is not lost.

Join me in prayer….”Father, we are empty, struggling and feel like winter branches without life, please open our eyes to the signs of your presence and assure us that your help is on the way, that you make all things beautiful and in you comes new life, in Jesus name Amen.”
